Psalms 19
"May He grant you according to your heart's desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!'
I find it funny that God will be fulfilling our heart's desires instead of vice versa. But I suppose David is talking about when your desires are so at one with God that you will find contentment, no matter what!
'Some trust in chariots, and some in horses. But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
I definitely know and think that I have to submit to Him daily, because my mind and my body are not at one yet. As I often do what my mind tells me not to.
In the Genesis reading,it is touching everytime Joseph has to go somewhere in secret to weep for the sorrow of his betrayal and the circumstances in which his brothers finally fulfilled his dream and came to beg from him. Instead of righteous anger, he weeped at the injustice of it all. I suppose I want to pray for such compassion and empathy for the injustices in this world and those that I have committed or have been committed against me.

In Matthew, it's encouraging that Jesus goes to the lady and heals her because she is unable to go to him, but the others that were healed were brought to Jesus. I guess we need to ask God and seek him when we're able to. And "The Cost of Following Jesus" seems pretty heavy, but considering what Jesus did for us...he left his Father, so we ought to as well.

Acts v23 "...remain true to the Lord with all their hearts." also v 29 "each according to his ability, decided to provide help"

Psalm v12-13 "Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me."

I like what you said about Joseph, Lynni. In my history and English classes, I get so angry after doing the readings. Having compassion and empathy instead? Huh.
