I dont understand a lot in the Exodus reading, like for example why GOd wanted to kill Moses/Moses' son before Zipporah saved the son. However, it is interesting that Moses keeps on telling God, how can I be your spokesperson when I am not fine in speech / have uncircumcised lips, etc... which shows that the first thing that God has to do with all of us is to get rid of our insecurities...and that the troubles/ worries we go through are ways of refining them , ways of God saying to us, look you can choose to trust in me or you can choose to let your insecurities and worries overwhelm you.
In Matthew, Jesus said, "And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me." This verse gives me faith to keep on encouraging seekers who have been accompanying me in going to church (twice weekly!) out of curiosity and probably a deeper yearning that God has planted in them..I want to remind them how God will bless them regardless of their non-commital status yet!
