"Cause us to hear Your lovingkindness for on You do we lean and in You do we trust. Cause us to know the way wherein we should walk, for we lift up our inner self to You." Psalm 143:8

Hehe I guess this is a sign that school has started for you girls as I am actually the first to comment this time! :) Here I am in Macdonalds' getting free WiFi waiting for my first class to start at Universite of Paris VII:
In Matthew I was reminded once more:
' Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth..for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also'.
Where do you choose to invest not only your energy but your passion, your heart, our soul? And how do you show that to your friends? Your family?
Genesis troubled me a lot as well with Dinah being raped and then her lover (presumably) and his entire family getting killed. I do not like the eye-for-eye veangance of Jacob's sons and I keep on thinking , this is why they were so aggrieved later on, God will make them suffer...Bu at the same time Jacob/Israel was blessed so much by Him, was it partially his fault too that he wasn't a good parent to his rowdy sons?
Lynni, I really liked that verse from Matthew as well. Also, I was struck by how God chose to work in Saul, of all people, the one who was pursuing His children. When I first read the psalm, I thought, Wow, that's a long laundry list to keep track of... but we don't have to be trying to achieve all of those things on our own. We shouldn't be doing things for God; we should only let God do His work in us.
