"Cause us to hear Your lovingkindness for on You do we lean and in You do we trust. Cause us to know the way wherein we should walk, for we lift up our inner self to You." Psalm 143:8

Some cool quotes...
Matthew 6:1 "'Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them.'"
Oswald Chambers-"Or am I watching to see how much respect I get as I measure how much service I should give Him?"
verse 8 "...your father knows what you need before you ask him."
verse 14-15 "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."
Acts 8:32-33 "...as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. In his humiliation he was deprived of justice..."
I started reading More Than Serving Tea, a book about being Asian American christian women and I didn't realize it would be kinda hard. The above quote is really encouraging though, that Jesus understands. I just don't get how Jesus just took it though...that just seems really beyond me...
Nikki A. Toyama--"My gender and ethnicity are God's gift to me--not obstacles to overcome. These are my gifts to steward for others and for his kingdom."
Psalm 14:3 "...there is no one who does good, not even one."
Genesis 32:10 "I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant."
33:3-4 "He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother. But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him; he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept." Sigh..they day that happens...
In Acts 8:35, it says "Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus." One of the things I want God to allow me to do is help other people get excited about God. I think that requires being able to edify people no matter what point they are at in their walk with God, just as God doesn't expect us to come up to His level, but comes to meet us where we are. Well, that and it takes humility and patience and understanding of God's word. I often get impatient with people, forgetting that in whatever way God has revealed himself to me so far, I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness He has shown me. Philip was able to preach to the eunuch because he met him where he was at, both physically and spiritually.
Hehe Gloria.. maybe that day is not as far off as you think it is. ^^
Funny, you were right Eliza...sigh..
Gloria what do you mean by 'you were right'? How has reconciliation attempts been? With your parents? Also dont be too anxious about it, maybe God is preparing your parents for it too!
Well, I got to talk to my mom a bit. She really opened up to me and showed me how much I in fact had hurt her, which made me really sad. But we made up. What a relief...I also made up with my dad. I guess there is still a big generation gap between us and a lot of misunderstanding, and a lot to be said, but I really need to learn to put myself in their shoes and compromise so to speak..it's something we'll keep working on hopefully...
