In Psalms 51, it is said that God desires a broken spirit and a contrite heart. I think that very often I have been proud before God and confident that my knowledge of Him is quite enough, thank you very much. But I think God just reminded me how ridiculous the notion of actually understanding Him is. I ask for a broken spirit and a contrite heart towards God and to all those whom God loves.

kinyan i think He also wants us to have the two so we can depend on him more, only in our humility do we realize how utterly useless we are withoout Him, and NEED him, compared to some one who is haughty and proud..and thinks that he can do no wrong!
